My name is Summer
Smith. I am married to Chris Smith, and we have
a daughter named Cooper. I have been a teacher for
six years, four at Tylertown Elementary School and
two at Columbia Elementary School.
I believe all
children should have the opportunity to acquire
a quality education. I entered the teaching profession
because I believe I can make a difference in children's
lives. Children are the future and I want to be
part of that future. The definition of teaching
is to instruct or cause to learn by example or experience.
I want to be a good role model for my students,
and I want them to experience what they learn.
I hope my students
will remember me as a kind person who took the time
to get to know them. I want them to remember the
fun activities we participated in each week. I pray
every day that they will achieve their academic
goals and become productive citizens.
